- students sometimes get stuck at low-wage jobs b/c they fear making the wrong career choice
"Some professors at liberal arts colleges now joke that they "take students who would have been stuck working at McDonalds and makes them people who are stuck working at Starbucks".

great, so now i'm paying 40,000 a year just for this. there are so many people i know that have congraduated from great liberal arts colleges and now they're working in restaurants, or cutting & pasting documents from one to the other... kind of like what i'm doing right now at this so-called internship. cutting & pasting, cropping & saving. i can't believe there are people who get paid to do this all day. i've never wanted a desk job, but i'm quite fearful i'll end up at one. but i'll be in some hoity-toity business, and i'll have my own email address and to the rest of the world, i'll be this successful yuppie. i don't know what my point here is, i'm not against it, but yet i'm fearful i'm going to become one of them. and i guess i put the quote there b/c i'm also feeling super-guilty of how much Smith is financially costing my parents and me.
